Country Chic
Seen
on the Autumn Winter 2012 catwalks, shooting chic, country couture and tweed
trends are everywhere.
Tweed
plus fours, sturdy leathers and lots of tweed were seen in the Burberry Prorsum
A/W designs this year. Featuring tailored coats, tweed flat caps and some
elaborate tweed jackets for the men.
Holland
Cooper has given their own twist on the “Equestrian Chic” A/W look. With an
array of stunning pieces from the opulent herringbone ¾ length “Chelsea Coats”
trimmed lavishly in Ostrich skin to the fitted “Hacking Jackets” adorned with
Suede and gold embellished buttons, nipping ladies in at the waist they are not
one to be missed this season.
Think
high shearling collars, exotic skins, furs, rich chocolates and romantic red’s
this /W collection is bang on trend this season.
Peter Jones Golfing Day.
We
were again the brand of choice, for our favourite dragon Peter Jones’ exclusive
golf day!
The
golf course at the prestigious Goodwood Golf Club was a colourful array of
Holland Cooper clothing! The man himself, Peter Jones wore a
beautiful HC Jacket in New Blue and Pink, whilst our Holland Cooper team wore a traditional, vintage golf look complete with flat caps, plus fours
and of course those traditional knee high socks!
Our
HC team golf team did excellently, Thomas Warren coming third in the
competition against the likes of Alan Shearer!! The Holland Cooper suit raised
£2500, coming in at the second highest bid of the day.
A Little History...
Golf
clothing throughout the ages and all over the world has stayed true to its true
Scottish heritage. In the beginning the outfits were mainly made up of a lot of
wool; woollen jumpers, woollen socks all in earthy, autumnal colours. Plaids,
tartans and brighter colours became popular in the golf world around the 1950s
and has stuck around since!!
Our HC team will be wearing our breeks in Grouse tweed, complete with flat cap and our sage and cherry woollen socks. Sticking with the vintage, with that all important Holland Cooper twist!!

Peter
Jones wore a beautiful two piece Holland Cooper suit for his annual shoot in
July this year.
Holland
Cooper sponsored Peter Jones’ charity shoot day which was held at the Royal
Berkshire Shooting Ground.
To add
to Holland Cooper’s success, their auction of four full shooting suits won the
highest bid for charity at £12,000!!
Amongst
Peter Jones’ guests were his fellow dragons Deborah Meaden, Duncan Bannatyne,
and Theo Paphitis who all accessorised their outfits with a beautiful HC British Collection Scarf!

Holland Cooper sponsors the Suffolk International Polo day 2012.

The International Suffolk Polo day sponsored by Holland Cooper was a huge success. Not only did we sponsor the event creating fabulous limited edition polo shirts we also had our own Polo Team on the day. The sun was shining and the camera's were flashing.. adding a touch of glamor to the Suffolk countryside, this Polo day will now be a regular on the social calendar. Holland Cooper tweed was everywhere from the Tweed Capes, to the Tweed skirts and Tweed Chelsea Coats, it was an exciting day all round and tickets sold out.
We are looking forward to next year already!

Peter Jones wears Holland Cooper tweed two piece

Jade Holland Cooper spent the day fitting Peter Jones in a beautiful custom
made Holland Cooper tweed two-piece ready for his annual Clay day in July. 'It was a pleasure to meet and fit Peter
Jones, he was absolutely charming and I am delighted that he is a fan Holland Cooper, we are very much looking forward to the Peter Jones ‘clay day’ where
Holland Cooper will be proudly sponsoring the event’
Peter
Jones chose the Morrison tweed jacket in ‘bourbon’ and matching tweed waistcoat
to complete the look.
HollandCooper are proud to be maintaining our ‘British Made’ stamp with all of our
tweed garments that are individually cut and made in the UK using Scottish woven cloth.
HollandCooper have formed an exclusive link with ‘Ian Coley’ who have won the ‘best
shooting school’ in the country award last night, to form the Holland Cooper
Shooting Club.

Cheltenham 2012 - What a succes
Holland Cooper had a roaring show at the Cheltenham Festival this year. The new and improved Holland Cooper pop up stand proved a success featuring some of our new collection.
Each day was better than the previous culminating in a record last day on the Friday.

London Fashion Week pulls the focus to British Made
2012 seems to be the year that the fashion industry finally wakes up to the value of British manufacturing.
A welcome focus has been made to British Manufacturing headed by Sir Phillip Green in his speech calling for the industry to support manufacturing in the UK.
Sir Phillip was to be seen highlighting the benefits this change would make for the economy in the UK creating jobs for younger people and reducing the unemployment.
The Telegraph has also featured a similar article stipulating that the fashion industry created 816,000 jobs in the UK accounting for 1.7% of the UK GDP. The article entitled ' Why made in Britian is the most fashionable label this season' also included quotes from Anya Hindmarch who admits to making very little of her collection in the UK and says she witnessed the decline of the accessorie manufacture in the UK but now sees that it is beginning to make a strong come back.
Holland Cooper are proud to be supporting this campaign - all of our tweed is sourced in Scotland and all our tweed clothing is then hand cut and made within the UK.
